Christmas season has officially started two holidays early with Justin Bieber’s new single “Mistletoe”. Aside from the fact that I love all of his music, this song is just so sweet. On this Friday evening, I’m sitting in my apartment with my guitar, an apple cinnamon candle, a green apple smirnoff ice (which I don’t typically like, but for now it’ll do), and the television…with DVDs in hand. No, I’m not an alcoholic, but I felt like I needed some sort of self indulgence. I wish in this age of technology there was a way to attach a smell to a post because it smells so fantastic here, but sadly there’s not. I feel like I’m able to relax and really focus on myself tonight, which is something I’m really not used to doing. The only thing that could make this moment a tad bit better would be to share it with my beautiful sisters. It’s times like these that I wish we were closer in distance. It’s time to find some snacks!! I hope you are all enjoying these early fall evenings as much as I am, cuddled up with a good Halloween movie.

        There’s something beautiful to be said about simply meeting people. Whether through mutual friends, common interests, etc., meeting people is something to be proud of. Every day we get the chance to discover something new. We discover things by searching for them and we discover things by stumbling upon them. I believe that for every thing we discover, we are destined to find it. Whether you realize it or not, you learn from every experience you have, good or bad. It may have appeared to be a happy accident that I met someone I fell in love with, but destiny is what brought us together. It’s also what tore us apart, but there’s a reason for everything. You see, for every struggle we face, a challenge is overcome. Maybe your destinies come and go. Maybe they appear for a while, fall out of sight, and come back again. It’s something to wonder about, but it’s something that only time will tell.
